DEMOREST, Ga. - The Piedmont University Athletic Department announced Thursday that Jamie McCormack has resigned to pursue other opportunities outside of collegiate athletics. McCormack's time leading the Lions will conclude prior to the end of the season after eight years at the helm. 

"As always, we will support our student-athletes to the best of our ability as we navigate the 2024 season and beyond," Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Jim Peeples stated. "As a department, our responsibility to all our student-athletes is to guide them through their collegiate careers, both on and off the court, and we intend to ensure these student-athletes are supported in every aspect."

A coaching search will be opened to fill the vacancy.

The Lions resume play at Berry on Friday, September 13 for tournament action over the weekend.
