GREENWOOD, Ind. - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) have released their Academic All-District teams for volleyball and the Lions are well represented with four selections.
Senior
Katie Hubbard earned honors for the third straight season while second year Lions
Sara Bjerke,
Abbye Carver and
Erin Lemons found a spot for the first time in their careers.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Volleyball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Bjerke takes home honors in her first season of eligibility. A dual sport athlete who is also a member of the Piedmont Track & Field team, Bjerke stepped up in her sophomore season on the volleyball court, leading the team in total blocks (54), block assists (44) and solo blocks (10). Bjerke also contributed 50 digs and was an offensive presence, ranking second on the team with 127 kills.
Abbye Carver | Sr. | Rabun, Ga.
In her second season with the Lions, the senior defensive specialist takes home All-District honors after a solid final season in Demorest. Carver ranked third on the team with 234 digs and fifth on the squad with 18 service aces.
Katie Hubbard | Sr. | Aurora, Colo.
Again serving as the team's offensive leader while providing defense utility as well, Hubbard was the only Lion to record over 200 kills and digs. She led the team by a wide margin in kills with 238 while placing fourth on the team with 230 digs.
Erin Lemons | So. | Lafayette, Ga.
Lemons contributed in a variety of ways in her sophomore season. She led the team with 362 assists and was second on the team with 244 digs. She was also third on squad with 26 service aces.
