DEMOREST, Ga. - On a night in which it celebrated seven seniors, Piedmont volleyball delivered a convincing 3-0 win over Agnes Scott on Tuesday night at Cave Arena.

After the Senior Night festivities were concluded, the Lions took the court, and the seniors led the way offensively and defensively.

Seniors Katie Hubbard and Alex Wingate tied for the team lead with six kills apiece, followed closely by fellow seniors Bree Chappell (5), Kya Perkinson (4) and Aria Foerst (3).

On the defensive side, senior Zoe Coelho led the way with 16 digs while Abbye Carver added eight digs and tied with Hubbard for the top spot on the team with four service aces.

While the Scotties held tough early in the first set, the Lions pulled away late in the set with a 4-0 run with the final three points on kills by Foerst, Hubbard and Wingate.

Piedmont was even more dominant in the second set, jumping out to a quick 9-3 lead and never looking back to capture a 2-0 lead in the match.

Needing just one more set to close out the match, it was Hubbard's serve that pushed the Lions to a big early lead in the final set. The senior from Aurora, Colorado helped Piedmont reel off 10 straight points on her serve, with a pair of service aces to cap off the run and give the Lions an insurmountable 15-3 advantage.

The Scotties showed some resistance to battle back, but the Lions held them at arm's length and finished the match with a 25-16 third set win.

Up next, Piedmont will conclude its CCS slate with a final tri-match, beginning this Saturday, Nov. 1 at Belhaven against the Blazers and Maryville.

TURNING POINT:
- The 10-0 run on Hubbard's serve in the third and final set helped the Lions remove all doubt from the outcome.

SENIOR NIGHT:
- Prior fo the match, Piedmont honored seniors Katie Hubbard, Aria Foerst, Alex Wingate, Abbye Carver, Zoe Coelho, Kya Perkinson and Bree Chappell for their contributions to the program.
