DEMOREST, Ga. - The Piedmont women's swimming program saw 12 achieve all-conference honors following their performances at the Independent South Swimming Conference Championships. The honors come following the Lions back-to-back conference titles after winning the 2024 championship.
Of the 13 receiving honors, 11 received recognition in multiple events while seven earned all-conference honors in three different events.
The meet was highlighted by freshman
Kelly Mashburn breaking three individual conference meet records while also playing a role in breaking the 400 yard free relay, 800 yard free relay and 200 yard medley relay. Mashburn claimed the individual records in the 50 free (25.43), 100 free (54.95) and the 200 yard free (2:01.45).
Freshman
Olivia Smith set the new conference record in the 100 yard fly, claiming the honor in 1:05.97.
Sophomore
Tressie Polk broke the 200 fly record at the conference meet with a time of 2:34.55.
Mashburn was joined by
Sydney Addison,
Caroline Massaro and
Lauren Stone as the squad broke the 400 free relay record (3:52.37).
Madison Nance, Addison, Stone and Mashburn combined for a 8:31.05 in the 800 free relay, setting the new conference record.
Massaro, Nance, Polk and Mashburn turned in a time of 1:58.21 for the new conference meet record in the 200 yard medley relay.
Head coach
Teddy Guyer was named Coach of the Year for the third straight year by the conference for his continued hard work, dedication and success with the Piedmont program.
