TALLULAH FALLS, Ga. - Piedmont women's swimming continued their form from last week's season-opening performance with a 187-34 win against Warren Wilson.
The Lions took all events in the contest, with the standout being junior
Kelly Mashburn, who took home three events in the meet, including a 5:47.13 first-place finish in the 500 freestyle.
Caroline Massaro,
Kayle Buss, and
Maggie O'Brien all came away with two wins each, showing off the Lions' dominance.
Masarro took home the 50 and the 100 back, Buss with the 100 fly and the 100 breast, and O'Brien with the 50 breast and the 100 IM.
In the relays the Lions won both. The 200 medley came home via the efforts of
Caroline Massaro,
Kayle Buss,
Tressie Polk and
Maggie Robinson, as they finished with a time of 2:05.23.
In the 200 freestyle the team of
Sydney Addison,
Zoi Walker,
Maggie O'Brien and
Kelly Mashburn brought it home with a time of 1:48.63.
Mashburn's big day was highlighted with her performance in the 500 freestyle but she also won the 50 and 200 freestyle.
Up next, the Lions will head to Asheville, N.C. in two weeks to compete against Warren Wilson and Southern Virginia University at 2:00 p.m.
