GREENWOOD, Ind. - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) have released their Academic All-District teams for women's swimming and the Lions earned the maximum of four honorees on the listing.
Senior
Caroline Massaro and junior
Kelly Mashburn earned their second placements on the list while junior
Kayle Buss and sophomore
Donevin Lakey land on the list for the first time.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 28 (women) and April 29 (men).
Massaro earns her second CSC Academic All-District distinction in her senior season. She was named to the All-Conference listing earlier this year for her efforts during the season. Massaro earned a third-place finish in the 200 backstroke at the Independent South Conference Championship.
Kelly Mashburn | Jr. | Dalton, Ga.
Mashburn takes home her second Academic All-District honors after being named to the Independent South All-Conference team earlier this season. Mashburn broke school records in both the 500 free and the 1650 free at the Independent South Conference Championship.
Kayle Buss | Jr. | Woodruff, S.C.
Buss earns her first CSC Academic All-District listing in her junior season. Buss set a school record in the 200 breast event at the Independent South Conference Championship meet to conclude the season.
Lakey earns her first CSC Academic All-District honors in her first year of eligibility. Lakey aided the Lions all season including her contributions in the Independent South Conference meet as she took third place in the 100 fly.
