While the Lions dominated against the Koalas, they were unable to match the Tigers on the day.
Kelly Mashburn once again impressed, winning two individual events while also competing in the Lions' lone relay win.
Mashburn's first win came in the 200 freestyle as she narrowly defeated Breanau's Abi Bins with a 2:05.12 final time. Her second win came in the 50-yard freestyle, as she finished with the final time of 26.57.
The Lions were able to come away with a relay win, taking home the 200-yard freestyle in the last women's event of the day. The team of
Kelly Mashburn,
Maggie Robinson,
Sydney Addison, and
Zoi Walker defeated the Brenau team with a final time of 1:47.28.
Although the undefeated season came to an end, the Lions still performed well against tough competition.
The Lions' next event will be their midseason invitational in Columbus, Ga., starting on Nov. 20 and ending on Nov. 22. Times for the invite are to be announced.
