Atlanta, GA -- For the eighth time this season the Piedmont College volleyball team picked up a straight set victory; tonight at the hands of Great South Athletic Conference host Spelman College. The Lady Lions dominated the offense in the non-conference affair with three players earning seven kills apiece.
Piedmont, now 13-6 overall, will resume GSAC competition on Saturday, October 10th as they travel to Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA with first-serve slated to begin at 2:00.
The Lady Lions jumped out with a 25-13 victory in the first set to set the tone. After taking the second 25-19 the squad finished the match edging the Jaguars 25-20 in the final set. Setter Tyler Baldonodo connected on a match high 31 assists to pace the offensive attack.

Shelby Fooshee paced the attack with seven kills respectively while
Kalin DeMarrais closely followed with six. Newcomer
Paige Eslinger led the defensive effort with nine digs.
The victory improves the Lady Lions to 5-1 against the Great South Athletic Conference. The women also improve to 11-4 away from Cave Arena and 10-3 when taking the first set of the match.
