DEMOREST, Ga. - The No. 2 seed Piedmont women's lacrosse team travels to North Carolina to continue playoff action against the No. 3 seeded Methodist Monarchs.
The winner of the contest will punch a ticket to the semifinals to play either the No. 4 seeded Southern Virginia Knights or the No. 1 seeded Meredith Avenging Angels.

The Lions' offense was once again stellar, putting the game away early to advance.
Piedmont opened the game with a goal from
Savannah Limehouse in the first two minutes of the game. On the assist for the goal was
Carson Bezold, who, with the assist, broke the program record for assists in a single season with her 58th on the year.
The Lions scored 13 unanswered goals before Greensboro claimed its first goal of the match off of a free-position shot.
With the game well in hand, the Lions continued their attack, scoring 12 more goals to close out the game and advance to the semifinals.

REGULAR SEASON VS. HUNTINGDON
Piedmont 17, Methodist 9 (4/11/26)
Lovette Choloh got the scoring started for the Lions with a goal in the 11th minute and
Clara Welch followed with a goal of her own, giving the Lions a 2-0 lead. Methodist answered to cut the lead in half but Piedmont started its offensive engines and scored four unanswered goals, leading into the second quarter.
Piedmont led from then on, showing a dominant presence on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball, causing 13 turnovers throughout the contest.
Piedmont brought the game home with a five goal 4th as they cruised to a 19-7 win against a crucial conference foe.
The Lions remain perfect in the USA South with a big win over a strong opponent.

Amanda Barrett has been a staple of the backfield for the Lions. Barrett has been a game wrecker for Piedmont, earning second on the team in caused turnovers.
