Following the first day of competition, it was a battle at the top as Piedmont trailed Southern Virginia by a single point, 150.50-149.50.
Piedmont started off the competition with a new school record, as

Madison Nance,
Olivia Smith and
Kelly Mashburn set a new mark in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:54.66 and a second place finish.
