ATLANTA - For the third time already this season, Piedmont volleyball senior
Zoe Coelho has been named the Collegiate Conference of the South Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.
The defensive specialist and libero from Roswell continued her breakout senior campaign, taking home top defensive honors from the league for the third time with conference play just beginning.

In four matches over the past week, Coelho raised her game to a new level, recording 90 total digs and reaching 20 or more in 3-of-4 matches. She tallied 21 in a win at Paine College on Monday, helping the Lions sweep the match. Then, in a four set match against Wesleyan on Wednesday, she reached a new career high with 30 digs before adding 39 more over two more CCS matches on Saturday.
Coelho currently leads the CCS, averaging 5.52 digs per set on the season.
Up next, the Lions will continue on with their CCS slate, traveling to Agnes Scott for a road match, tomorrow at 7 p.m.
