TOCCOA, Ga. - Piedmont volleyball fought valiantly but saw its comeback attempt fall just short in a five-set loss at Toccoa Falls Tuesday evening.
After dropping the first two sets by scores of 25-15 and 25-18, the Lions responded by pouncing on the Eagles with a 25-20 third set win and a dominant 25-15 victory in the fourth set, to push the match to a fifth set.
However, in the team's first five-set match of the season, the Lions fell 15-10 as the Eagles defended their home court to pick up the win.
