Box Score DAVENPORT, Fla. - The Piedmont University women's lacrosse team picked up the win over Otterbein University, 13-8, to start their spring break road trip. AVA TRANKINA led the team in scoring, tallying four goals in the contest and adding one assist to her name.

The Lady Lions entered the contest with an even .500 record of 3-3 to take on a 2-1 Cardinal squad still in the early portion of their season.

With Trankina at the helm, Piedmont was able to outpace Otterbein, winning the game 13-8.

Three time USA South Rookie of the Week CLARA WELCH, who scored 8 goals this past week, continued her offensive onslaught with a hat trick in the game.

MERRYN BUMPASS added a pair of goals and had four assists in the game.

Piedmont also saw MAGGI SPRATLIN and MACHAELA SMITH score goals in the contest and CARSON BEZOLD added two assists on the day.

LINDLEY WARD also scored a pair of goals on the day, moving her season total to 15.
