Demorest, GA - Piedmont Women's Lacrosse will head to Rocky Mount, North Carolina this weekend for the USA South Women's Lacrosse Tournament. The #4-seeded Piedmont women's lacrosse team is scheduled to play the #1 seed, Christopher Newport University, this Friday at 1:00 p.m. in Rocky Mount, N.C. at the Rocky Mount Sports Complex.
The Lady Lions defeated Meredith College 16-7 in the USA South Tournament Quarterfinal this past weekend to advance in the tournament bracket. Piedmont fell to Christopher Newport University earlier this season with a
19-1 loss at the Captains home turf. Women's Lacrosse coach,
Emily Jacquette, hopes to use the loss as motivation for this weekend's semifinal match.
