DEMOREST, Georgia -- The Piedmont women's lacrosse team continued their hot start on Saturday after they shutdown visiting Huntingdon College, 17-1, to earn their fourth consecutive victory.  Piedmont controlled possession in the contest and also outshot the Lady Hawks 28-12.  The contest also marks the fourth consecutive game that the Lions have scored over 15 goals and allowed less than six.

In the first period the Lady Lions struck first at the 26:52 mark with a goal by freshman MAGGIE MCDANIEL.  Piedmont dominated the first half, going on to score ten additional unanswered goals before the break.  The Lady Lions defense allowed just five shots in the first half and forced six turnovers.

Piedmont continued their dominant play in the second half  on offense and defense, scoring six additional goals, and allowing just one Huntingdon score.

Ball possession proved to be the major factor in the victory for Piedmont.  The Lady Lions managed to keep turnovers to a minimun, giving the ball away ten times less than Huntingdon (15-25).  Piedmont also posted 16 more shots on goal (23-7) to gain the edge.

Leading the Lady Lions in scoring was ALEXIS NARDUCCI.  Narducci scored five goals for the second time this season to lead all scorers in the contest.  She did not miss on the day, going 5-5 in the victory.  Also scoring goals for Piedmont were MEGAN MCDOWELL, Cahner Mahnns, MAGGIE MCDANIEL, ASHTON NASH and KAYLA FREUND, who each posted two goals a piece on the day.  VICTORIA PETRASSI and SAMANTHA VANOVER also chipped in with one goal each.
