- Piedmont returns to Burgen for the second edition of the Piedmont Invitational this fall with the likes of Mars Hill, Berry, Methodist, and Meredith possibly coming to town for a two day showdown, September 18-19.

INSIDE THE LINEUP:
- Doubles competition occurred on Friday while Saturday was reserved for singles action, 27 different singles slots that included the Lions.  
- Only two singles showings on the docket went to a tiebreak, and both were come from behind victories by Piedmont's Addyson Willis and London McDaniel.   

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
- Emily Gonzalez won 0-0 in her singles match with Michelle Pinos of Marion Military while Grayce Rowell also took a 6-0, 6-0 win over the host's Bailey Woods.
- Doubles duo Kelsey Hudson and Michaela Krajcovicova formed a Piedmont / LaGrange partnership to win their match 6-1 over a pair of Snead State players.
