Gilbert, AZ - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced the 2026 Division III All-Academic Team honorees with Piedmont University's women's tennis team earning a spot on the organization's listing.
Per the ITA announcement, "Academia is an integral aspect of the college tennis experience and adds to the unique student-athlete experience found on college campuses across the nation."
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team GPA of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale) with all student-athletes that are varsity letter winners being factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
In 2026, 177 Women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction. Over 1,300 individual student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes as well including 14 from the Lions' women's tennis team.
