WHAT'S UP NEXT:
- This event wraps up the tournament portion of the fall season for the Lions whilst they prepare for the spring season that kicks up in early February with an exhibition at Berry College before a couple of home matches on the 6th of February at Burgen.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING:
Hear from Head Women's Tennis Coach Trey Martin about the event: "This was our last major event of the fall, and with rain from the hurricane approaching, we played three rounds of doubles and two rounds of singles on Friday. That is a lot of tennis! I was really proud of the energy our girls brought throughout the day. We won every match in our opening round of doubles and carried that momentum into the rest of the day.

"While some results weren't what we had hoped for, all eight girls who competed this weekend had moments they can build on heading into the spring semester. Drea Robinson and Annalia Small each winning two singles matches was huge, and I was especially proud of them for those performances.

"Overall, I can't say enough about how proud I am of these girls, their effort, and the way they competed."

INSIDE THE LINEUP:
- Weather cost the Lions the second day at the Methodist Invitational but Piedmont was able to play a pair of singles matches each and three doubles matches on Friday when the weather for the second day looked dicey.

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
- Annalia Small and Drea Robinson each won both of their singles matches on Friday with Small winning 0-0 and 1-1.
