FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The USA South released its women's lacrosse postseason awards Thursday afternoon and a program-record eight Lions received recognition.
Savannah Limehouse,
Tamar Tompkins and
Ansli Cannon highlighted the listing with first team honors, while the trio of seniors
Carson Bezold,
Clara Welch and
Lovette Choloh each earned a second team spot. Seniors
Laura Crone and
Noelle Poteete were named to the third team.
Savannah Limehouse, All-USA South First Team (Midfield)

Past All-USA South Recognition: All-USA South Second Team (2025)
Of Note: Limenouse continued to raise her game to the next level in her junior season, eclipsing 50 goals for the second consecutive year and setting a new career-high with 54 total. The Myrtle Beach, South Carolina native set a single-game program record with eight goals in a win against Brevard and recorded a hat trick in seven of the team's last eight games of the regular season.
Tamar Tompkins, All-USA South First Team (Defense)
BY THE NUMBERS:
Ground Balls: 24 (5th on team)
Caused Turnovers: 19 (3rd on team)
Past All-USA South Recognition: All-USA South Second Team (2024)
Of Note: Tompkins contributed to a standout Piedmont defense during the season, recording a career-high 19 caused turnovers. She had multiple caused turnovers on five occasions, with all coming against the toughest competition the team faced this year.
Ansli Cannon, All-USA South First Team (Goalie)

Saves: 118 (1st on team)
Goals Against Average: 9.71
Ground Balls: 22

In Season USA South Recognition: 1x USA South Defensive Player of the Week
Of Note: Cannon played every minute of every game in goal for the Lions as a sophomore and was a standout the whole way. She began the season with a strong performance in a home win over Oglethorpe, allowing just four goals while making eight saves, earning her USA South Defensive Player of the Week honors. Cannon reached double digits in saves four times during the season, highlighted by a 13-save performance in a key conference road win at Methodist.

Carson Bezold, All-USA South Second Team (Attack)
BY THE NUMBERS:
Points: 71 (1st on team)
Assists: 57 (1st on team; tied for single season school record)
Of Note: Bezold has had an historic season finding teammates for goals. She has tied and set the school record for single game assists multiple times, including breaking her own record that she had already set earlier in the season by dishing out 12 assists in a home win against William Peace. She has nine games with multiple assists and has delivered five or more assists five times.
Clara Welch, All-USA South Second Team (Attack)
BY THE NUMBERS:
Points: 33 (5th on team)
Goals: 23 (4th on team)
Assists: 10 (5th on team)
Ground Balls: 35 (2nd on team)
Of Note: After returning to the lineup midway through the season, Welch did not skip a beat, and has been playing her best down the stretch of the season. She is currently second on the team in ground balls with 35 and fourth on the team with 23 goals scored. She has tallied five hat trick in her 11 games played.
Lovette Choloh, All-USA South Second Team (Midfield)

Of Note: Choloh did it all for the Lions throughout the 2026 season, contributing both offensively and defensively to another winning campaign. The Dacula, Georgia native ranked in the top four on the team in six statistical categories and led the team in ground balls, caused turnovers and draw controls.
Laura Crone, All-USA South Third Team (Attack)
BY THE NUMBERS:
Points: 55 (3rd on team)
Goals: 27 (3rd on team)
Assists: 28 (2nd on team)
Caused Turnovers: 17 (4th on team)
Of Note: Crone was an all-around offensive threat for the Lions in 2026, placing third on the team in points and goals, while ranking second with 28 assists. She was the only Lion to record at least 20 goals and assists on the season.
Noelle Poteete, All-USA South Third Team (Defense)
BY THE NUMBERS:
Starts: 17 (al games)
Ground Balls: 16 (3rd on team)
Caused Turnovers: 15
Of Note: Poteete earns her first career All-USA South placement after saving her best season for last, helping anchor a tremendous Piedmont defensive unit that was stifling throughout the season. Poteete tallied a season high of three caused turnovers in three different games.
