ATHENS, Ga. - Piedmont University cycling competed in the popular Athen's Twilight event with solid results for the team.

The events range from amateur races to pro races. 

The women's team started the day with the women's 3/4/5 race where Katie Prowell got 2nd and Grace Wilson placed 3rd.

Next was the men's 2/3 race where Owen Lloyd secured a first place finish. Pearson Bruhns followed in the 2/3 race, finishing in 2nd while Shannon Himstedt ended 4th. The final event for the Lions was the amateur final where Owen Lloyd collected another win for the team.

Overall, the team had a strong outing in Athens, GA. The team is prepares for more crit races to ready the team for Nationals in Wisconsin.
