The cycling team traveled to Jackson, Ga., to race in the Outdoor Capital Classic.

The team once again turned in a solid performance.

In the circuit race the Lions had many athletes on the top step, including Morgan Stephens getting first in the women's 4/5. Also on the women's team, Emma Frost placed 4th in the women's 1/2/3 circuit race.

On the men's team, Preston Eye took the win in the men's 1/2/3 circuit race, closely followed by Owen Llyod in second. Tyler Rogers also stood on the top step, taking the win for the men's cat 3. Kaden Zimish followed close behind, earning 4th in the men's cat 3.

Saturday evening, the team raced their second race of the day in the criterium. On the women's team, Morgan Stephens went two for two and took home the win in the women's 4/5 crit as well. Emma Frost got second in the women's 1/2/3 crit.

On the men's team, Preston Eye got 4th in the men's 1/2/3 crit. Kaden Zimish got 5th in the men's cat 3 crit.

The weekend concluded on Sunday with the team participating in the road race. The women's team saw Morgan Stephens got 2nd in the women's 4/5 road race. Emma Frost placed 3rd in the women's 1/2/3 road race.

The men's team was led by Tyler Rogers earning 2nd in the cat 3 men's road race. Meanwhile, Kaden Zimish placed 3rd in the cat 3 men's road race.

In the omnium, Morgan Stephens finished 1st for the women's 4/5. Emma Frost finished 3rd for the women's 1/2/3. Preston Eye finished 1st for the men's 1/2/3. Owen Llyod finished 5th in the men's 1/2/3. Tyler Rogers finished 2nd in the men's 3. Kaden Zimish finished 3rd in the men's 3.

Overall the Lions finished with great results on the weekend. 

Next, the team travels to Auburn, Al. for another collegiate road race.
