DEMOREST, Ga. - The Piedmont men's and women's swimming teams are preparing to compete at the Independent South Conference Championship Meet beginning on Thursday. The meet is set to run from Thursday-Saturday in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The men's squad will look for back-to-back titles after winning it all in 2025, while the women look to reclaim the title after finishing in second at the meet last season.
Piedmont sends back a competitive men's squad anchored by three seniors, while the women's team carries five seniors to the meet.
After the championship the Lions received further honors last season, with 15 men's and 10 women's swimmers taking home All-Conference honors.

Men's Swimming
Piedmont dominated Warren Wilson in their last time in the water.
Piedmont sported three swimmers with three wins to their names, with senior
Luke Borgmann winning two individual races in the 50 backstroke and the 100 IM while also helping to win the 200 freestyle relay.
Brady Bowman also had three wins on the day. Taking home the wins for both the 100 backstroke and 100 freestyle in individual races while also participating in the 200 freestyle relay along with Borgmann.
Henry Rickman took home one win in the individual category in the 50 backstroke. Rickman's biggest contributions came in both Piedmont relay wins with the 200 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay.
Women's Swimming
The Lions came away with a big voctory against Warren Wilson in their last meet.
Zoi Walker came away with five wins, and senior Caroline Massaro continued her stellar season with four wins of her own, and two other Lions were multi-event winners.
Walker's day was highlighted by her three individual wins in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle and the 50 yard butterfly. Walker also swam in both women's relays as she helped secure wins in the 200-yard medley and the 200-yard freestyle.
The senior Massaro took home four wins on her recognition day with three individual wins and one relay win. Massaro competed in the 50 and 100 backstroke and the 500-yard freestyle, and she won all three. Then Massaro swam and helped the Lions win in the 200-yard medley.
Sophomore Donevin Lakey was the other Lion to bring home four wins on the day. Lakey swam in both relay wins for Piedmont in the 200 medley and 200 freestyle. Lakey's two other wins came in individual events with the 100-yard butterfly and the 100-yard IM.
