WALHALLA, S.C. - The school year has kicked off and so has the fall season.
The Piedmont Cycling team had multiple options for racing this past weekend. One option they had was to compete in the Gravel Roll Holler in Wahalla. These athletes raced 82 miles throughout the South Carolina Mountains.
Their terrain varied from gravel roads, paved roads, and some surprise single-track trails. The team hit it out of the park with a podium sweep.
Ben Kolbie placed first, followed by
Shannon Himstedt in second and
Pearson Bruhns in third. We hope to keep this momentum rolling as we jump into our fall season.
