Women's Cross Country Picked Third in CCS Coaches Preseason Poll

ATLANTA - Piedmont women's cross country has been selected third, as the Collegiate Conference of the South Preseason Coaches Poll was released Thursday afternoon.

Defending champion Asbury has been picked to repeat, slotting in at the top spot with 48 points and six of the eight first-place votes.

Covenant places second, just behind the Eagles with 44 points and the remaining two first-place votes.

The Lions find themselves next, with 36 total points after the departure of 2024 individual champion Skyler Seeber from the roster.

Maryville (28), Agnes Scott (24), Belhaven (22), Huntingdon (13) and LaGrange round out the listing.

Piedmont is led in 2025 by senior Bella Caccamo, as she is joined by a number of newcomers to the roster.

Dr. Remel Williams was promoted in the summer to Director of Track & Field and Cross Country while Gary Halverson was hired as Head Cross Country coach in August.

The season begins next Friday, September 5 with the Converse Kickoff in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
