ATLANTA - Piedmont women's cross country freshman Madison Worsham has been named Collegiate Conference of the South Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.

The Lilburn, Georgia native turned in a 5k time of 23:38.5 at the Converse Kickoff, finishing 84th with the Lions the only NCAA Division III team competing in the event.
 

Worsham's CCS Rookie of the Week honor marks the first for the program since Skyler Seeber earned the honor in 2022.

Up next, Piedmont will be back in action this Friday, Sept. 12 at the UNG Invite in Oakwood, Georgia.
