SALEM, Va. – The Piedmont University men's & women's cross country team competed at the South Region Showdown on Saturday.

For the women, senior Bella Caccamo led the Lions once again, turning in a PR time of 25:06 and placing 73rd overall.

Freshman Katie Payne rounded out the finishers for the Lions with a time of 31:52.2

For the men, senior Layton Bradford also led the Lions again and turned in a PR time of 25:43.4 and a 21st place finish.

Sophomore Brody Geckler not far behind Bradford turned in a time of 28:45.5.

Rounding out the finishers for the lions junior Keegan Ivey with a time 34:09.6 and sophomore Xander Wiley closely behind with a time of 35:33.9.

Up next, the Lions prepare for the CCS Championships, traveling to Huntsville, Alabama on October 31st.
