SEASON RECAP: Women's Track & Field 2025

• The Lions bounced back in 2025, claiming the CCS Conference Championship for the second time in three seasons.
• Jamie Jimison led the women to a conference championship for the third time, having captured the 2021 USA South Championship.
• 10 Lions earned All-Conference honors for their performance at the conference meet.
• That group was headlined by Allie Feltus, who was named CCS Field Athlete of the Meet after taking home individual titles in the discus and the javelin.
• Feltus' incredible career ended as she earned Co-Top Female Senior Athlete from the Piedmont Athletic Department.

• The Lions sent mostly throwers and jumpers to the meet with KK Thomas' win in the women's weight throw highlighting the day. Thomas' 13.67m throw marked a personal best for the transfer and ranks third all-time in program history. 
• Shealee Gallegos finished third in the women's weight throw (11.64m) while Ja'Nia Gray was fourth in the women's pole vault (2.25m).

• Skyler Seeber took home second place in the 3k steeplechase with a time 12:05.80, also good for a record.
• Allie Feltus brought home Piedmont's fourth and final top five of the event, taking home fifth place with a throw of 37.48m.

• For the second time in three seasons, the Piedmont University women's track and field team claimed the Collegiate Conference of the South Championship totaling 206 points.
• The Lions jumped out to a big lead after Wednesday's events and held on easily to finish off the conference title on Thursday morning.
• Overall, Piedmont totaled eight different event wins including winning 5-of-8 field events.'
• Six different Lions captured individual conference titles, with both Allie Feltus and Michelle Cates winning a pair of events each.
• Allie Feltus closed out her dominant career with another standout performance, winning in the discus at the conference meet for the fourth consecutive season with a throw of 39.12m. She also continued her ascent in the javelin throw, winning with a 33.12m mark, setting a new PR for the second consecutive meet.
• Kayla Ward's win in the shot put with a toss of 10.90m gave Piedmont a fourth win from a thrower.
• Sophomore Allison Cantrell showcased her versatility, winning with a long jump of 5.11m to give the Lions five total wins in the field events. Her mark was just .03m from a new personal best.
• Junior Michelle Cates tied Feltus for the top spot on the team with two event wins. Cates crossed the line first in the 400m hurdles for the third consecutive season and captured her first individual conference title in the 100m hurdles with a time of 16.41.
• Skyler Seeber cruised to a win in the 3k steeplechase, winning by almost a full minute with a time of 12:48.07. She also took second in the 10,000m and third in the 5000m.
