ATLANTA - Piedmont track and field finished up a two-day meet at the Emory Spring Break Classic on Saturday evening in Atlanta.
The Lions delivered a solid performance across both the men and the women as three records fell on Friday.
Silas Goolsby continued his record-breaking spring, setting a new mark in the 200m with a time of 21.55, good for a fourth-place finish. He breaks his own program record he set last time out at the Victor Ice Breaker Duals.
He also placed fifth in the 400m with a time of 48.40, falling short of only his own mark in the program records.
On the women's side,
Skyler Seeber took home second place in the 3k steeplechase with a time 12:05.80, also good for a record.
In the field events, newcomer
George Ketch delivered a 48.76m hammer throw, taking home sixth place and setting a new Piedmont outdoor record, which had stood since 2021.
Saturday's action saw the Lions find success in a number of field events as the action came to a close.
On the men's side, freshman
Jayden Smith delivered a ninth place finish in the shot put at 14.10m.
Allie Feltus brought home Piedmont's fourth and final top five of the event, taking home fifth place with a throw of 37.48m.
Up next, the Lions will take part in the Southern Wesleyan Invitational next Friday and Saturday, March 28-29 in Central, South Carolina.
