ATLANTA - For the third year in a row, Piedmont women's tennis head coach Trey Martin has been named the Collegiate Conference of the South Coach of the Year, as the league office announced its postseason awards Thursday evening.

In addition, four Lions earned all-conference honors, with Bri Laidman and Alyssa McSpadden taking first team spots while Dannie Evans and Caroline Morrison were named to the second team.

Bri Laidman, All-CCS First Team

BY THE NUMBERS:
Singles Record: 13-2
Doubles Record: 14-6
Past All-Conference Recognition: 2x All-CCS Second Team (2023, 2024)
Of Note: Laidman has earned All-CCS recognition in all three of her seasons, this time moving up to the first team after two second team appearances in 2023 and 2024. this season, she moved up to the No. 2 spot in the singles ineup and went an impressive 13-2. In doubles, she was 14-6 but a perfect 11-0 at No. 2.
 

Alyssa McSpadden, All-CCS First Team

BY THE NUMBERS:
Singles Record: 14-2
Doubles Record: 13-2
In-Season CCS Recognition: 3x CCS Player of the Week
Past All-Conference Recognition: 2x All-CCS First Team (2023, 2024); All-USA South West Division Second Team (2022)
Of Note: McSpadden moved up to the top spot in the singles lineup and did not miss a beat, going 14-2 with all wins coming at No. 1. She was also a force in doubles, with a 13-2 overall record and a perfect 9-0 at the No. 3 spot.
   

Dannie Evans, All-CCS Second Team

BY THE NUMBERS:
Singles Record: 10-0 
Doubles Record: 10-1
In-Season CCS Recognition: CCS Doubles Team of the Week w/Abby Gayle Moody
Of Note: Evans lost just once across 21 combined singles and doubles matches and was a perfect 10-0 in dual singles matches. In the pivotal conference showdown of the season, she won the clinching match in Piedmont's 4-3 home win over Asbury.
 

Caroline Morrison, All-CCS Second Team

BY THE NUMBERS:
Singles Record: 12-2
Doubles Record: 7-1
In-Season CCS Recognition: 2x CCS Rookie of the Week
Of Note: Morrison had a standout debut season for the Lions, losing just three times across 22 combined singles and doubles matches. She was a perfect 7-0 at No. 3 singles and did not lose a single time across seven matches combined at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
