FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference released its 2025 Women's Golf Pre-Championship poll on Tuesday afternoon, with the Lions tabbed fourth.
It was bunched at the top with Methodist narrowly clipping Huntingdon for the top spot. The Monarchs took home three first place votes and 44 points while the Hawks tallied four first-place votes and 43 points.
Southern Virginia took third with 37 points and the final first place vote, just ahead of the Lions in fourth with 34 points.
Rounding out the listing saw Pfeiffer (24) take fifth, Maryville (16) in sixth, Meredith (15) in seventh and LaGrange (11) in eighth.
Erin Donovan will look to defend her individual title, as she took home the 2024 championship by seven strokes after firing a final round 69. She was also named a repeat winner of USA South Golfer of the Year, awarded this past Friday.
As a team, the Lions took home third place, finishing behind Methodist and Huntingdon. Piedmont is coming into the tournament on a high note, having taken home the team title at the Greenbrier Women's Collegiate Invitational last time out.
The 2025 USA South Women's Golf Tournament will be hosted at The Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The three-day, 54-hole event will begin on Monday, April 28 and conclude Wednesday, April 30. For more information, including a link to live results view the USA South Meet Website.
