JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. - Piedmont women's golf continued its steady climb up the leaderboard, claiming a 14th place finish by moving up one spot in the final round of the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational on Sunday.

The Lions were unable to match Saturday's second round score, but were still eight shots better than their first round total. Junior Keegan Goins led the way for Piedmont, playing a steady round and coming in with a final round of 3-over 75.

Goins made par on each of her first 10 holes of the day, and after a few bogeys, bounced back with a birdie on the par-5 15th before closing with a trio of pars to jump 18 spots and into the top 30.

In support of Goins, the Lions counted three rounds in the 80's, led by an 8-over 80 from Erin Donovan, who made birdie on her first hole and then on the par-4 16th.

For the third consecutive round, freshman Addison Maney carded 9-over 81, also making exactly three birdies for the second straight round.

Fellow freshman Lila Polakowski fired an 85 for the team's final counting score of the day while Marissa Weaver made birdie on the par-3 3rd and finished with a 91.

NYU eked out the team title over Emory by four shots while Emory's Amanda Zheng was the only player to finish the tournament at par or better, taking the individual trophy by six strokes.

Next up, the Lions will head to Virginia to tee it up at the Stith Invitational, beginning next Monday, March 30.
