GREENWOOD, Ind. - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) have released their Academic All-District teams for women's swimming and the Lions earned the maximum of four honorees on the listing.
Seniors
Olivia Bechtel and
Madison Nance became the first in program history to earn honors three times while
Caroline Massaro and
Kelly Mashburn made their first apperance.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Swimming & Diving teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 22, 2025.
Bechtel three-peats on the listing after another solid season in the classroom and in the pool. She earned all-conference honors after a second place finish in the 200 fly, helping the Lions take second place at the ISSC Conference Meet.

Mashburn takes home Academic All-District honors in her first season of eligibility after an outstanding sophomore campaign. At the ISSC Conference Meet, she delivered second place finishes in the 200, 500 and 1650 free.

Caroline Massaro | Jr. | Oxford, Ga.

Massaro adds a CSC Academic All-District award to her already impressive resume. The Oxford, Georgia native picked up a win in the 200 back at the ISSC Conference meet, while taking second place in the 100 back.

Joining Bechtel in the three-time CSC Academic All-District club, Nance posted more impressive times in her senior campaign. The Simpsonville, South Carolina native delivered a second place finish in the 400 IM at the conference meet.
