ATLANTA - Piedmont men's basketball freshman
Parker Renault has been named the Collegiate Conference of the South Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this year, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
The standout from Charleston, South Carolina played a major role in a 2-1 week for the Lions. He was named to the All-Tournament Team as Piedmont delivered a runner-up finish at the Mauro Panaggio Tournament in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Renault scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a win for the Lions over SUNY Brockport to begin the event before adding 13 points and six rebounds in a championship game loss to Trine.
However, he was a force in a record-setting offensive game for the Lions, a 115-84 home win over Caltech on Friday. Renault was one rebound shy of a double double, with 16 points and nine rebounds. He also knocked down two of Piedmont's single game program record 17 three-pointers on the day.
Up next, Renault and the Lions are off for Christmas before taking the court for a pair of games in North Carolina to close out 2025. First up is a game at N.C. Wesleyan on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 2 p.m.
