Kansas City, Missouri - The Piedmont University men's basketball team put four of its student-athletes on the Honors Court as announced by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for the 2025-26 season.  

Piedmont's honorees:
Caleb Lesch
Dylan Patrick
Fisher Darden
Noah Hutchinson

Only Hutchinson is making his debut on the listing as the other three in Lesch, Patrick, and Darden all make repeat appearances on the listing after having earned the honor in 2024-25.  

The NABC Honors Court recognizes junior, senior, and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.  The NABC's academic awards are presented annually to teams and athletes from all levels of college basketball.

"College basketball student-athletes do incredible things on the court, but their achievements in the classroom are equally worthy of celebration," said NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson. "Education is one of the NABC's core values, and the hundreds of programs and thousands of athletes represented on these awards reinforce the commitment to academic success that exists across all levels of our sport."

Over 2,300 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court this past season.  Piedmont has placed 28 on the NABC Honors Court over the last four seasons alone.

Located in Kansas City, Missouri, the NABC was founded in 1927 by Phog Allen, the legendary basketball coach at the University of Kansas. Allen, a student of James Naismith, the inventor of basketball, organized coaches into this collective group to serve as Guardians of the Game. The NABC currently has nearly 5,000 members consisting primarily of university and college men's basketball coaches.
