ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Piedmont men's basketball came away with a swift victory over the Warren Wilson Owls Tuesday evening.
After coming off of their first win of the season, Piedmont continued good work on their first road trip of the campaign.
The Lions had a slow start offensively as the Owls were able to keep pace with them for most of the first half as both teams traded field goals and free throws, but Piedmont still clung to a lead.
However, after a 12-4 run in favor of Warren Wilson late into the second half, Piedmont led by just four points. Enter
Israel Hall, who went on to have a big night for the Lions as he rattled off a five-point swing for Piedmont while
Fisher Darden and
Parker Renault assisted to build a 9-2 run and create separation for the rest of the game.
The Lions would come out of the locker room hot.
Fisher Darden landed a three that allowed Piedmont to maintain at least a nine-point margin over Warren Wilson for the rest of the game as they fully pulled away from their competition halfway through the second half, eventually defeating the Owls to the tune of 85-68.
Four Lions had double-digit scores at the end of the game, with freshman
