CCS Defensive Player of the Week: Jocelyn Maseda

ATLANTA - As Piedmont women's soccer surges forward in conference play with a seven-game win streak, senior Jocelyn Maseda takes home her second career Defensive Player of the Week award, with her first coming early in the 2024 season.

The defender from Land O'Lakes, Florida scored her second goal of the 2025 season against Covenant last Saturday. Maseda found the back of the net in the 47th minute to give the Lions a 2-0 advantage over the Scots. The goal from the outside back sparked energy, propelling the team to a dominant 3-0 victory. Earlier in the week, Maseda contributed to the Lions thrilling 2-1 win over LaGrange with her strong presence on the back line.

  Up next, the Lions will take on the Scotties of Agnes Scott on Wednesday, October 14 at 7 p.m. at the Walker Athletic Complex in Demorest, Georgia.
