LaGRANGE, Ga. - In dramatic fashion, Piedmont women's soccer overtook LaGrange late for a 2-1 road win on Wednesday evening.

Trailing at one point in the second half, the Lions flipped the script with an immediate equalizer and a game winner in the 89th minute off a corner kick.

In a game in which it dominated the shot count and controlled possession, Piedmont was forced to rally from behind after the Panthers' Gabby Worthy scored off an assist from Kaia King in the 65th minute.

Fortunately, the Lions were able to respond immediately, as Paige Kluba beat her defender and unleashed a perfectly placed short cross to find an open Gabi Paulding to put away the quick equalizer. This marked Paulding's first career goal.

From there, the game remained deadlocked at one apiece as the Lions looked to find a crack in the LaGrange back line.

The Lions were finally able to break through with just over a minute left, as a corner kick from freshman Victoria Medellin was headed home past the keeper by fellow freshman Lora Kim to stun the Panthers and move Piedmont's win streak to six games.

Up next, the Lions will return home and battle the Covenant Scots with kickoff scheduled for this Saturday, October 11 at 2 p.m.

TURNING POINT:
- Kim's 89th minute game winner put the Lions ahead for the first time all game and left LaGrange little time to respond.
