Cycling finishes 11th in College Mountain Bike Nationals

Collegiate Mountain Bike Nationals, put on by USA Cycling, was held in Grand Junction, Colorado, at Powderhorn Ski Resort.

Nine Lions traveled across the country to race and at 8,200 feet of elevation, the Piedmont cycling team was at a disadvantage. Despite this, our team put up a great fight.

Piedmont was able to finish with top 40 results.

Grace Wilson and Pearson Bruhns both had the top results for the team, with Grace getting 24th in the Short Track and Pearson getting 25th in the XC.

As a team, Piedmont finished 11th overall in the varsity team omnium.

With mountain bike season finished, the Lions forward to start gearing up for gravel and road season.
