NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. - In the opening round of the NCAA DIII Women's Golf Championship, Erin Donovan held her own, battling to a 2-over 74 as she finds herself in a tie for 13th on the leaderboard.
 

Donovan was off with a late tee time beginning the day at 2:10 p.m. and was off to a slow start with bogeys on one and three to sit at +2 through the first three holes.

After another bogey on seven to move to +3, Donovan found her stride making three straight birdies to claw back to even through 10.

Following some unlucky breaks, she fell back to +3 after three straight bogeys on 11-13 but managed par on 14-17 as she approached the final hole of the day.

On 18, Donovan blasted a drive down the middle of the fairway and hit her approach to inside 10 feet just below the hole. Then, after seeing a few birdie chances slide by on the preceding holes, she poured in the birdie putt to put an exclamation mark on her day.
