GREENWOOD, Ind. - Eight student athletes from the Piedmont University men's and women's swimming program have earned CSC Academic All-District honors following the Independent South Swimming Conference Championships, the organization announced Tuesday. The program had four swimmers on the women's side and four swimmers on the men's side earn the honors.

The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom.

In the fourth year of the program, the women's side was able to bring home back-to-back conference titles while breaking eight conference records at the meet. On the men's side, the team brought home the first conference title since its' founding while breaking nine conference records at the meet.

For his leadership and work with the programs, head coach Teddy Guyer was named Coach of the Year by the conference.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 23 (women) and April 24 (men). The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed at the links above.
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
