ERIN DONOVAN continued her impressive Piedmont career winning the Joe and Lee Duncan Invitational after carding a 69 (-3) in the final round to finish -5 for the tournament.
Her 69 tied the Piedmont low round and set the Piedmont record for low to par shooting going 3 under on the final round. She also broke her own record from the same tournament last year for the Piedmont 54-hole low score with a 211, shaving six strokes off her record from a season ago.
Donovan carded a 69 (-3) with four birdies in the final round giving her 12 in the tournament. The sophomore had just one hole over par on Tuesday with a bogey on one after a shotgun start on six.
SARAH FOX also turned in a top-20 finish coming in 17th with an 82 in the final round. She also carded two birdies as Piedmont totaled 10 birdies.
KEEGAN GOINS turned in the second-best round of the day with a 79 while
SAVANNAH BAREFOOT shot an 80.
CAITLYN CHILITO finished the event with a 91.
SHELBY CLARK competed as an individual and shot an 82 going just two over on the front nine.
In the same event in 2022, Donovan claimed her first individual win shooting a +1 for the 54 hole tournament.
The Lions will return to action September 24 in Montgomery, Alabama at the Montgomery Women's Intercollegiate.
