ADA, Ohio - In the final Indoor meet of the season, the Piedmont University track & field team sent a small group to the Polar Bear Final Qualifier.
The select group competed in specific event in order to attempt to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships.
In the men's 200m dash,
CHRIS DONSEREAUXÂ ran a 22.98.
Four different runners competed in the 800m event, with
DARIUS SMITH leading the charge with a 1:57.27.
CONNOR CREEDON was hot on his heels with a 1:58.40 and
JACOB BALOT finished under a second behind him (1:59.03).
COLE ELROD finished the event with a 2:10.07.
GARY HALVERSON ran the men's mile for the Lions, finishing with a 4:31.58.
Donsereaux also competed in the men's long jump, turning in an official distance of 6.42m.
JAYCIE PONCE competed in the women's 800m, recording a final time of 2:23.04.
Up next, the program turns to Outdoor season, traveling to Conway, S.C. for the Myrtle Beach Challenge on March 10th and 11th.
