Three from Men's Track & Field Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Three Piedmont men's track & field student athletes have been named to the CSC Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.

Tucker Cox repeated with honors while Matthew Blocksom and George Ketch each earned a spot on the team for the first time in their Piedmont careers.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 15, 2025 (women) and July 16, 2025 (men).

 

Matthew Blocksom | So. | Acworth, Ga.
 

Matthew Blocksom - CSC All-District 2025

Blocksom stepped up as a sophomore as one of the anchors to the 2025 CCS Men's Track & Field Championship team. The Acworth, Georgia native qualified for selection in two events, currently ranking 12th in the discus and 22nd in the hammer. Blocksom also earned All-CCS honors in both events, winning the discus and placing second in the hammer.

Tucker Cox - CSC All-District 2025

Cox continued to showcase his versatility in helping the Lions earn a 2025 CCS Men's Track & Field Championship three-peat. In earning honors for the second straight season, Cox is currently 23rd in the 3k steeplechase, 31st in the javelin and 46th in the 5,000m. At the CCS Championship this season, he crossed the line first as the 3k steeple champion.
 

George Ketch | So. | Clarkesville, Ga.
 

George Ketch - CSC All-District 2025

In his first season in Demorest after transferring in, Ketch made an immediate impact. The Clarkesville, Georgia native traded 1-2 spots with Blocksom at the CCS Conference Championship, winning the hammer and placing second in the discus. His hammer mark of 48.76m ranks seventh in the region while his discus mark 40.97m ranks 18th.
