Jamie Jimison Resigns After Decorated Coaching Career with Piedmont

DEMOREST, Ga. - After six seasons leading the Piedmont men's and women's track & field and cross country programs, Jamie Jimison has resigned to join former Piedmont colleague Greg Neeley at Tallulah Falls School as head cross country and track & field coach. Jimison totaled nine team titles in his six seasons along with six NCAA national qualifiers.

"Jamie Jimison leaves an incredible legacy here at Piedmont for all he accomplished in his career with Piedmont track & field and cross country," Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Jim Peeples said. "Not only did he win numerous championships and lead some talented individuals to records and awards, but he guided his athletes to become leaders both inside and outside of competition."

During Jimison's time with the Lions, Piedmont was dominant in track & field winning three straight CCS men's track & field championships while claiming a pair on the women's side. His teams also claimed the 2022 women's cross country title and the 2023 men's cross country championship.

"We are very excited that Coach Jimison will continue to be a part of the community here in Habersham," Peeples stated. "Coach Jimison being in his new role at Tallulah Falls will allow us to continue strengthening our partnership with them as we work together for the student-athletes at TFS and Piedmont to have a great student-athlete experience."

In 2024, both individual cross country champions wore the Green & Gold as Skyler Seeber won the women's championship and Walker Capelle claimed the men's title.

The spring of 2025 saw both track and field programs take the CCS title as Silas Goolsby earned Track Athlete of the Meet and qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championship in the 200m. Goolsby finished as a Second Team All-American in the event.

In his six years with the Lions, Jimison amassed over 135 track & field all-conference honorees across two leagues and nearly 40 all-conference honorees in cross country.
