DEMOREST, Ga. - Dr. Remel Williams has earned her doctorate of education (Ed.D.) in curriculum and instruction from Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee. Dr. Williams finished course work and was titled Dr. on November 14, 2024 and officially crossed the stage for graduation May 3, 2025. 

"This is a tremendous accomplishment for Dr. Remel Williams who is one of the most dedicated professionals in our department," Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Jim Peeples stated. "Her love of learning is a foundation for her leadership and she continues to impress with all she accomplishes."

Dr. Williams serves as assistant track & field coach within the Piedmont program and helped the teams to a pair of titles this season within the CCS and helped guide Silas Goolsby to second team All-American honors at the NCAA Division III National Championship in the 200m. She completed her fifth season with the program in the spring of 2025.
