SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Piedmont University Field team competed at the Tiger Indoor Invitational hosted by Sewanee.

With the track team staying behind, the Lions field team was able to take the full spotlight at the Tiger Indoor Invitational. 

The day was highlighted by two top 10 finishes for the team, one on the women's side and one on the men's side.

In the men's pole vault, WES ROGERS jumped 3.35m, good enough for 6th place in the event. He was the only Lion to compete in pole vaulting at the meet.

In the men's shot put, KERRIGAN MCCLAIN led the Lions with a 10.50m, a personal best. He was followed closely behind by ETHAN JACKSON (9.66m) and DAVID ANDERSON (9.33m).

On the women's side, Bonnie Jones led all Lady Lions with a 9.40m third attempt while ALLIE FELTUS finished with a 9.34m first attempt.

McClain continued his great day with another PB 10.10m toss in the men's weight throw and found Anderson behind him once again with a 8.43m toss.

Feltus secured a top 10 placement in the women's weight throw as her distance of 11.95m earned her 7th place. Sophomore REAGHAN ANDERSON and Freshman Whiteny Darsey also had good days as they finished 16th (10.05m) and 18th (9.75m) in the event.

Up next, Piedmont is back in action at the Samford Bulldog Open on Feb. 11.
