Demorest, GA - In the home finale for the 2017 season, the Piedmont College women's tennis team posted a 9-0 sweep of Brooklyn College Saturday. The win moves Piedmont to 7-8 this season with a pair of matches remaining in the regular season. 

Piedmont's doubles play set the pace of the match with the Lady Lions winning 8-0 at #1 and #2 before picking up a 8-1 win at #3 doubles. MORGAN BUCHHOLZ provided the clincher at #1 singles with a 6-0, 6-1 win.

In four of the six singles matches, Piedmont athletes posted a 6-0 victory in at least one set with SIMONA FLOYD winning 6-0, 6-0 at #3 singles.

--MORGAN BUCHHOLZ clinched the match at the #1 singles position with a 6-0, 6-1 win. 

Standout Performances
--Both Piedmont's #1 and #2 doubles won in straight sets 8-0 to set the tone of the match. 

Inside the Box Score
--SIMONA FLOYD did not drop a set with a 6-0, 6-0 win at #3 singles.

--Piedmont finished the 2017 season 3-2 at home at Burgen Tennis Courts.
