Mount Berry, GA - The Piedmont College women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to in-state foe Berry College Thursday. KARINA RIVERA earned the win at #5 singles to keep the Vikings from the sweep. 

Rivera's win in singles play marked her third straight victory in singles as she was down a set, but came back to win 7-5 and forced a deciding third set. The junior from Gainesville, Georgia won the third set 10-6 for the win for PC. 

The Lady Lions are now 4-6 on the season and move back into conference play this weekend taking on Wesleyan College and Agnes Scott College on Friday and Saturday, respectively. 

Turning Point
--The Vikings swept the doubles points and continued to roll with straight sets victories at each singles spot but #5. 

Standout Performances
--KARINA RIVERA picked up the lone point for PC at the #5 singles dropping a close 6-4 decision in the first set, coming back to win 7-5 in the second set and taking the third 10-6.

Inside the Box Score
--Rivera has now won three straight in singles play and five of the last seven. 

News & Notes
--The Lady Lions have just one non-conference match remaining on the schedule as Brooklyn College travels to Burgen Tennis Courts on April 1.
