Demorest, GA - Picking up a win at home on Sunday afternoon was the Piedmont College women's tennis team who knocked off LaGrange College by a 6-3 score at Burgen Tennis Courts.
The win came less than 24 hours after Piedmont had ventured to Winston-Salem, North Carolina more than 250 miles away to grab a conference win over Salem College.
Piedmont took an important lead out of doubles action with the #1 pairing, freshman sensation
MORGAN BUCHHOLZ and savvy veteran
AMANDA BLACKWELL, holding on in a tiebreak to help the Lady Lions get to singles with the ad.
Though LaGrange would claim two decisions from there,
KARINA RIVERA sealed the deal when she won in straight sets at #5 to give Piedmont two wins in as many days.

KARINA RIVERA got the clincher at #5 singles taking down LaGrange's Denney Meigs 6-1, 6-3 to hand Piedmont the match.

MORGAN BUCHHOLZ continues to impress at #1 singles in her debut season for Head Coach Shane Wood getting the victory today over Jenna Eppes in straight sets.

--Today's contest was a non-conference match-up between the two USA South foes with the conference showdown coming on April 7 at LaGrange.
