Macon, GA - In a final step out of league action for the 2016 season, the Piedmont College women's tennis team took care of hosting Wesleyan College by a 9-0 score line earlier Tuesday afternoon.

The win was the second straight sweep for Piedmont as the Lady Lions also took a 9-0 win over Greensboro this weekend in USA South action.  Currently a Great South Athletic Conference member, Wesleyan is set to join the USA South next season as a new league member.

Piedmont took all three doubles decisions handily including a 8-0 shutout at the #3 spot by TATIANA BURKETT and TABEA SOELTER.  

With a 3-0 lead after doubles, NICOLE PARRISH's win at the #1 singles spot in straight sets sealed the match for PC on the road, the 8th win of the season for the Lady Lions.  Next up for the Green and Gold, a key weekend in USA South play with LaGrange and Huntingdon coming to town.

Turning Point
--NICOLE PARRISH sealed it with a 6-0, 6-1 win at the #1 singles spot over Wesleyan's Amber Davis.

Standout Performances
--TABEA SOELTER won her singles match-up at #5 without dropping a game to the Wolves' Mingying Cheng.

Inside the Box Score
--Six sets in the contest were decided without a game dropped by Piedmont in singles play.

News & Notes
--The match took about two and a half hours, Piedmont's shortest match this season.
--It was the first meeting between the two programs since 2012.

Up Next
A key weekend in USA South play with LaGrange coming to town on Saturday for a USA South showdown at 1:00 pm while Huntingdon is the Sunday foe with first serve set for 10:00 am.
